By the grace of Almighty, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is blessed with a variety of mineral resources, ranging from clays, industrial minerals, fuels, dimension stones, precious gems and metallic and the Government of Pakistan has all along been supportive towards the optimal developments of these natural endowments. Saindak Metals Limited (SML) is a Public Sector Entity of the Government of Pakistan, engaged at the Saindak Copper-Gold Project, Chagai District. SML has the credit of developing the pioneer project of metallic mining sector in the Country. The ore found in the remote area of Saindak in being worked from exploration, mining through processing to blister copper with help of Chinese expertise. The Project has generated economic activity providing source of livelihood to thousands of local inhabitants. It gives me pleasure to mention that besides an exemplary venture of the sector, the Project is extending unmatched community services in the area. The Government of Pakistan is committed to facilitate excellence in the minerals sector and raise SML’s profile. We gratefully acknowledge the continued hard work and dedication exhibited by our Chinese brothers through commendable professional workmanship for the Project.
