Mr. Waqas Ahmed Barlas

Mr. Waqas Ahmed Barlas is a civil servant from the 37th CTP. He is presently serving as the Deputy Secretary (Admin) and Director to the Federal Minister in the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division). He has diverse experience spanning more than 14 years and has worked both at the federal and on provincial assignments.

Mr. Barlas holds an MSc in Public Policy and Management from the University of Glasgow, (UK) and an MA in Politics from Government College University, Lahore. He has received two academic gold medals, a roll of honour and several distinctions during his academic years. He is also a Chevening Scholar.

Mr. Barlas is an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors of Saindak Metals Limited since 2024.
